The answers below describe the service as offered. Requirements, official fees, and timelines belong to the competent authority.
What is the difference between the plans?
Essential covers temporary residency only. Guided and VIP In-Person cover temporary residency and the later cédula stage; the difference between them is the level of support. On Essential and Guided, the client carries out the in-person steps. VIP In-Person includes 2 in-person appointments in Ciudad del Este, scheduled by WhatsApp: 1 to file the residency application and 1 to file the Paraguayan cédula application. The list on each plan is what is included.
What is not included in the price?
The published amount is the professional fee. Official fees and third-party expenses are charged separately: certificates, apostilles, authentications, translations when required, powers of attorney, transport, lodging, and travel outside Ciudad del Este. A detailed quote is presented before you engage the service.
Do I have to go in person?
Common temporary residency procedures include steps at the responsible agencies. On Essential and Guided, the client carries out those in-person steps. VIP In-Person includes 2 in-person appointments in Ciudad del Este, scheduled by WhatsApp: 1 to file the residency application and 1 to file the Paraguayan cédula application. The plan does not replace the agency's own rules about personal attendance.
Do you help with the Migraciones Migramóvil?
Yes, in any plan (Essential, Guided or VIP In-Person). The Migramóvil is the mobile team of Paraguay's Dirección Nacional de Migraciones that serves foreigners outside Asunción on dates announced by Migraciones. The next Ciudad del Este edition announced by Migraciones runs from November 2 to 6, 2026, at the Centro Cultural Mangoré, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Queue numbers are limited, handed out on the day and valid only for that day, so you need to arrive with complete documents. In the Essential and Guided plans, we prepare the checklist, review your documents and brief you for the day; you go to the Migramóvil yourself. In the VIP In-Person plan, the in-person appointment to file your residency can take place at the Ciudad del Este Migramóvil, subject to scheduling. Approval and timing are up to Migraciones.
Does the plan cover a family?
The published fee is a one-time professional fee per adult. Each adult is quoted on the chosen plan. For each child, the fee is US$ 99 on the Mercosur route and US$ 299 under Law 6.984/2022. Children have their own requirements at Migraciones. Describe the family in the evaluation.
Can I change plans?
Before you engage the service, the evaluation is the time to choose a plan. After engagement, a change depends on what has already been done and needs a new quote.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the responsible agencies, the documents, and the case. This service does not promise approval or a guaranteed deadline. Requirements can change. Check the official pages of the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones.
Can I use a Brazilian driver's license or professional card as ID in Paraguay?
No. For Brazilians, Migraciones accepts a passport, an RG issued by a Brazilian state or the Carteira de Identidade Nacional as travel documents, always as the physical original. A driver's license (CNH), professional council cards (such as CRM and CREA), work booklets, application receipts and digital documents are not accepted, either to enter the country or for the residency application. A very old or damaged RG may be refused; if in doubt, bring your passport. The final decision always rests with the Migraciones officer.
Is residency the same as a resident permit or a visa?
Residency and resident permit mean the same thing: permission to live in Paraguay, granted by the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, temporary at first and permanent later. A visa is different: it is for entering the country, and Mercosur citizens do not need one. The Paraguayan ID card (cédula) is also a separate document, issued afterwards by the Policía Nacional when the residency gives the right to it.
Which cases do the plans cover?
Essential covers temporary residency only. Guided and VIP In-Person cover temporary residency and the later cédula stage. On every plan, the route (Mercosur or Migration Law) depends on your case. Permanent residency, investors, tax matters, RUC, and banking need their own evaluation and quote.
Do the prices apply in another currency?
Prices on this page are fixed amounts in US dollars, per adult. They are not an exchange-rate conversion. Another currency needs a confirmed quote.
Check the current rules on the official pages. They can change.
